Fun diving in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka with Divers Land
We can offer a fantastic range of fun dives for certified divers. Our diving center is well equipped with modern, high quality dive gear and staffed by well-trained professionals. We offer daily dive trips to some of the most beautiful sites Unawatuna has to offer.
The dives take place in small groups. Before every dive you will give a detailed briefing on the site and what you can expect to see, and then it’s off on the boat. Once we are at the site our highly experienced dive guides will show you the most interesting spots and animals on the reefs and wrecks, and always ensure safe dives.
There are 16 or more superb dive sites all just a few minutes boat ride from the dive center. Reefs, wrecks and pinnacles – all different, and all fantastic.
Two of our dive favourite sites are:
Gala Pita Gala is a pinnacle with a maximum depth of 25 meter. It is a multi-level dive: as you circle around the rock, making your way to the top at 10m, you can see lot of soft and fan corals. You can find nudibranch, shrimps, angel fish, many type of butterfly fish, trigger fish, and many more. This is one of the best dive sites in Sri Lanka – don’t miss diving here.
The SS Rangoon– a 60M long 1800 Ton heavy sailing/steamer built in 1863, that sits upright in 30m of water just outside Galle Harbour. There’s always a huge number of fish and other interesting sea life here! We never tire of visiting the Rangoon.

Unawatuna is the home to our southern dive centre, 5km from Galle on the southwest tip of Sri Lanka. It's a 2-hour train or bus journey from Colombo.
Dive in Unawatuna for amazing wrecks, and for a chance to see Whale Sharks and Manta Rays from the middle of February to the middle March.
